Recycling at Christmas is an easy way to reduce holiday waste while giving back to the community. The season often brings an increase in packaging and food containers. Choosing recyclable wrapping paper (avoiding foil and glitter), breaking down cardboard boxes, and sorting plastics, etc. helps ensure these materials are properly processed. Much of this can generate a refund.
In British Columbia, Return-It Express offers a convenient way to turn those refundable containers into charitable support. Simply take the containers in a clear plastic bag to an Express kiosk, put in 604 809 4218 (which is registered to Kevin Jones for Compact) and print the label which shows account number XN6RR, The depot sorts, counts and the refund is automatically credited to the charity account.
During the holidays refunds can be directed to Compact via the Return-It Express App and searching for Compact Resource Foundation. Families, workplaces, and community groups can organize seasonal bottle drives or collect containers from holiday events, then donate the proceeds.
By combining recycling with charitable giving, Return-It Express turns holiday waste into meaningful support for organizations that need it most—making Christmas a little greener and a lot more generous. Thank you to BC supporters for considering this. Merry Christmas.

But you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water.

A Massive Contribution
What you contribute to in water and agroforestry solutions is an outstanding act of kindness and compassion especially when you know the facts.
Approximately 74% of natural disaters between 2001 -2018 were water related. The frequency and intensity of these events has already increase since this data was collected due to climate change. When these disasters hit, they can destroy or contaminate entire water systems.
These constant enviromental events are leaving millions with compromised water resources. Change in rainfall patterns and river flow contribute to the frequency and serverity of droughts. Futhermore, when rain does occur in drought -stricken areas, the soil cannot absorb it leading to floods and loss of vital crops.
The importance of solar powered wells and the planting of trees have both an immediate impact with water and a generational impact with the trees. Together we are making a massive contribution to healing the land and bringing hope to Malawian villages.
