A New Website
Compact is delighted to announce the launch of a new and improved website as of September 1st. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Smashing Pixels Inc. of Brantford, Ontario for the outstanding work they have done in improving and streamlining our website. Their expertise in design, functionality, and user experience has made a noticeable difference, and we look forward to your feedback.
The improvements not only enhanced the visual appeal of the site but also significantly boosted its usability and performance, making it easier for our audience to engage with our content and support us in some way.We have tried to balance the visual impact with relevant and useful text that is not overwhelming. However, should you need more information about any aspect of the work, please do email us at ktj@compactrf.com
We're especially grateful to Trevor Cherewka for the professionalism, flexibility, and compassion for our work that he demonstrated throughout the process. This was further seen in the favourable rate given to Compact. It's clear that Trevor's team is committed to delivering high-quality work while remaining mindful of client needs. We appreciated the no fuss collaboration weexperienced. Please visit compactrf.com, share with as many as you can and let us know what you think.

A New Vehicle
In April 2025 we put out an appeal for a new vehicle and we are so grateful for the wonderful response that met the target… but we didn't buy a vehicle!
It's complicated so bear with us. Foreign aid plays a pivotal role in Malawi's economics and the recent freeze on aid by the USA has brought immediate and severe repercussions. It has also brought a mass exodus of NGO's and a glut of surplus vehicles perfect for our use. However, these will not be auctioned off until November and about 500 are expected on the block.
Secondly, the Malawian economy remains fragile, as mentioned in the last newsletter, and an election midSeptember only adds to the fear. If we moved the money and it sat in the Malawi account there is still a good chance it would suffer the expected devaluation. Meanwhile Chisomo hobbles along between her car and the Compact one. Thank for your generosity and understanding.
